DIVISION OF FORESTRY AND NATURAL RESOURCES

About Us

Home » About Us

The Division of Forestry & Natural Resources combines the warmth of a small school with the resources of West Virginia University. Our student experience a hands-on, rigorous, demanding, professional education.

The Division of Forestry & Natural Resources students are a friendly, close-knit group. Professors teach their own classes and interact with students daily. They are caring and accessible, and students and faculty are on a first-name basis.

The Division of Forestry & Natural Resources has four programs of study: Forest Resources Management (FRM), Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Resources (RPTR), Wildlife and Fisheries Resources (WFR), and Wood Science and Technology (WST). Three of these programs (FRM, WST, and RPTR) are accredited by the Society of American Foresters, the Society of Wood Science and Technology, and the National Recreation and Parks Association, respectively. There is no accrediting organization for the Wildlife and Fisheries Resources program.
